Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain x-ray metrology instruments.
  • Develop and maintain deposition equipment.
  • Develop optical components, parts, accessories and tools with traditional and modern optical technologies.
  • Assemble and test R&D proof-concept devices and prototype devices.
  • Develop and implement new technological and metrological procedures for optic fabrication.
  • Develop concepts and draft procedures for new technologies and new processes.
  • Develop concepts of technological accessories and supervise their design, fabrication, and implementation.
  • Support products transfer to Advanced Manufacturing with instructions and training. Provide the technical support to production activities.
  • Provide guidelines and technical supports for X-ray tube testing and optic testing.

Qualifications

  • Strong sense of responsibility and motivated.
  • Good background in physics and mathematics. Bachelor degree or higher in Physics or Engineering.
  • Capability in designing and implementing computer and plug-in cards based control and data acquisition systems, including both knowledge and skills in electronics and programming.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Good understanding and experience in traditional optical technology and metrology.
  • Knowledge and experience in optical components manufacturing and optical devises assembly and testing.
  • Strong hands-on capabilities, such as program and run various CNC machines for R&D projects.
